Responsibility
Responsibility
Transparency
Leset’s supply chain is a short and efficient one. Sourcing and manufacturing take place in Los Angeles, California, abiding by the local high standards of social and environmental compliance. Leset does not subcontract, so the brand is directly accountable for protecting the rights of makers, the ethical treatment of animals and the appropriate management of natural resources in its manufacturing facilities.
Emissions
Leset products are made in facilities that utilise energy efficient technologies, contributing to the brand’s goal of managing its carbon, and created using low-impact fabrics and manufacturing techniques.
Water Management
The label works with dye houses that are actively trying to reduce their water footprint. Products are made from responsibly-sourced materials and recycled cotton, which do not require any heavy treatment and don't incur excessive washing, and therefore do not generate excessive water waste.
Materials
Leset takes a resourceful approach to materials and prioritises the use of recycled and ethically woven fabrics.
Workers’ Rights
The brand conducts regular visits to its first-tier manufacturing facilities – all of which are unionized or cooperatives – to ensure all workers are treated fairly. Having first-hand knowledge of factories and makers allows Leset to address any human/labor rights risks along their supply chain.
Waste and Chemicals
Leset works proactively to reduce the waste generated in the manufacturing of products, mainly through conscious design.
Animal Welfare
All products are made with materials that demonstrate respect for animal rights in alignment with the Animal Human Society's Five Freedoms.
Biodiversity and Forestry
Leset is not currently involved in any initiatives to protect the bees, the seas and the trees.
Ethos
Leset encourages recycling and repurposing amongst its shoppers and helps consumers to care for their garments beyond the point of purchase.
